Ant Hill
The Insect Lore Anthill Habitat is certainly an incredible twist for the children who grew up with the Ant Farm! With a wider base and more digging space that
makes tipping over a virtual impossibility!

The Ant Hill habitat's unique rounded side allows for observation of ants as they go about the business of foraging.
Its
unique “cross-cut” design with flattened tunnelling side and rounded foraging side gives two different perspectives on ant behaviors

The miniature version of the larger Insect Lore Ant Hill offers the same attractive Ant Hill, only it is a fraction of the size
Both sizes are perfect for your child's home enjoyment, as well as for a classroom project!

Critter Carnival
Put the bugs that your child catches in this little dome of fun, watch them play and then let them go! Observe bugs walking the tightrope - watch them spin on the carousel. See your young one be amazed as they crawl through the maze! Great for rolly-pollys, ladybugs, and other small insects.

Earthworm Nursery
The Earnworm Nursery
allows your child to grow and observe earthworms.
You've never seen a nursery like this before! Watch closely as baby earthworms hatch from real earthworm cocoons, then watch them dig and grow in the special multi-chambered greenhouse habitat. Release them safely into your yard to continue the lifecycle.

It is never too early to get your kids interested in gardening!
A few suggestions on helping your child to do this:
Involve them from the beginning. If it’s a container garden, or a space in your existing garden, allow them to take ownership of a spot. (The container can be a fun one-they can convert an old truck they no longer play with, or a colorful bucket-just make sure it has sufficient drainage)
- Let your young gardener decide what type of plants to plant. Help them to decide what type of edible plants to choose. (Studies have shown that kids are more apt to eat veggies if they grow them!) You can get creative and design a pot that has some unique veggies in them.

(Have you ever seen a Mr. Stripy tomato plant? Or perhaps an orange tomato?) Whatever you decide together, make sure they are excited about the selection!
- Let your young gardener tend to the plants. They can be taught how to use a moisture meter to help determine when to water. They can feed and harvest and enjoy the “fruits of their labor”!
